JAMMU, Sept 2: Parade police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a Ludhiana resident along with 5 kilograms of poppy straw.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Parade Police Post laid a naka and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 5 kilograms of poppy straw from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Satpal Singh, son of Satnam Singh, a resident of Ludhiana, Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 134/18 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and further investigation of the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Parade Police Post SI Vijay Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Pacca Danga SI Dheeraj Nagpal, SDPO City Varun Jandial, Incharge SP City GL Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
