JAMMU, May 26: M/s Lupin Ltd.,Bari Brahamana throug their CSR function Lupin Human Welfare and Research Foundation (LHWRF) donated about 1500 three ply masks and 700 bottles of hand sanitizers to Director Industries and Commerce Jammu for further distribution to the people affected by the COVID-19 epidemic. The items will be delivered to the front line Corona warriors like doctors and paramedics in the peripheral hospitals.
It is pertinent to mention here that Lupin Human Welfare and Research Foundation (LHWRF) has already donated INR 21 crores to PM CARES Fund and good volume of food items like rice, flour, pulses, sugar, salt, edible oil etc. was distributed to migrant labourers/needy families in surrounding areas of Bari Brahamana. Vinod Raina Manager, Tushar Chaudhari Sr. Executive and Satish Saraf Sr. Executive were present on the occasion.
It is pertinent to mention here that the industrialists of Jammu have donated maks, sanitizers PPE kits, Thermal Scanners, Sanitizers, Ration kits and other items during the lockdown due to COVID-19.
Pertinently, the industrial sector of J&K has also donated about Rs 32,11,000 in cash in various relief funds like PM Cares Fund, J&K Relief Fund and State Disaster Management Authority.
The Director I&C, Jammu Anoo Malhotra thanked the industrialists and appreciated their efforts. She also appealed to the other industrialists to come forward and help the needy.
The CSR initiatives are being performed as per the directions of Commissioner Secretary I&C Manoj Kumar Dwivedi.
