JAMMU, Oct 3: State vice president National Conference (NC) Women Wing, Bimla Luthra today stressed on the need for further enhancing female literacy.
She also sought effective measures for women empowerment at grass roots level.
“NC devised various schemes for the upliftment of women and sought their larger role in decision making,” Luthra said while welcoming women workers of BJP and PDP into NC at R.S Pura.
She said though the women have made significant contributions in every field and they are excelling in sectors like education etc, but more is needed to be done for them.
Those who were present on the occasion included Veena, Raj Rani, Jyoti Devi, Neeta Devi, Silky and Bharti.
