Luthra exhorts women to vote for Cong nominees in LS polls

JAMMU, Apr 1: Terming the upcoming Lok Sabha polls as crucial for strengthening democracy and secular forces in Jammu and Kashmir, vice president of National Conference (NC) Women Wing and former MLA, Bimla Luthra exhorted the cadre, especially women to ensure election of Congress nominees from Jammu and Udhampur parliamentary constituencies.
“Women have to come forward in a big way and play their role in making Raman Bhalla and Vikramaditya Singh victorious”, Bimla Luthra said while addressing women workers at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan. She said the secular forces alone can steer out the State from the present morass and ensure equitable development of all, irrespective of region or religion, caste or creed.
Luthra said the politically sagacious people have to play their important role in heralding peace and strengthening the bonds of unity and brotherhood between various segments of society.
Those present on the occasion included Dilshad Malik, Bharti, Jyoti, Pooja, Rani, Telki, Veena, Neelam and others.
