Luthra stresses for women empowerment

JAMMU, July 1: NC State vice president of Women Wing, Bimla Luthra has said that women folk constitutes 50 per cent of the population and they require empowerment in every sphere of life.
Addressing NC women workers meeting at Talab Tillo she said that during the regime of NC, various schemes to uplift the women folk were launched but the present dispensation has stopped all such schemes.
She emphasized that with the active involvement of women in political setup it will be easy to upgrade their standard of living in various fields.
The NC leader said that at present girls are shining in every examination which will definitely change the life style of women folk.
She called upon Party workers to work and strengthen NC at grass root level.
“Education for girls is must to get them trained to face day to day challenges,” Luthra maintained.
Those who were present in the meeting were Raj Rani, Anju Bala, Joginder Kour, Kanta, Sarooq and others.
