UDHAMPUR, Jan 5: Lok Vikas Dal (LVD) president, Vikram Singh Salathia while highlighting various developmental issues of Udhampur which according to him have been overlooked by previous Governments said Udhampur is facing various problems due to traffic congestion and insanitation.
In a statement issued here, today he said the main problem of insanitation is due to absence of soil waste management project. Besides, the long pending demands of establishing a medical, engineering and Ayurvedic colleges, Transport Nagar, Ware House, Bus Stand etc have not been settled and the Government should take immediate steps in fulfilling these demands.
He said there is a great decline in Tourism Sector in Udhampur district and he expressed grave concern over non utilization of funds for up-gradation of Sports Stadium in the town and revival of holy Devika river.
He said the people of Udhampur have great expectations with the present Government and he urged the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti to visit Udhampur so that the grievances of the people of the district could be redressed.
