LWWS stages ‘Bappu Mai Padna’

JAMMU, Sept 6: To aware the general public about girl education, Lalded Women Welfare Society (LWWS) today staged a play “Bappu Mai Padna” here at Trikuta Nagar.
The play opens in a house where a girl asks her mother that she wants to continue her education. Suddenly her father enters into the house and the girl goes to him and conveys her wish to him also. But the father refuses, saying it is not possible and he cannot afford her education more.
Suddenly, one of the teachers of the girl comes to their house and appeals her parents to allow her to continue education. He apprises them of various Government schemes meant for girl education like Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan. He assures them every help in educating their daughter. Finally, the parents of the girl agree and allow their daughter to continue her education.
The play concluded with the teacher appealing to the audience for educating their children especially girl child.
The play was written by Suraj Narayan and directed by Naveen Pal. The actors who performed in the play were Priya Pangotra, Santosh Pangotra, Naveen Paul and Suraj Narayan.
