JAMMU, Dec 19: Lalded Women Welfare Society (LWWS) performed  its Saturday series Nukkad play today at Kunjwani, which was  conceived and written by Rampaul Dogra and directed by Naveen Pal.
‘Huin Pakhroo Nain Boldey’ is a worry of a old man  called Juman who asks everyone in the village regarding sudden disappearance of birds but no one is giving answer to that  question but only make mockery of him and even at many times he faces humiliation. Actually he had seen a large number of birds of all kinds like crow, sparrow, dove, parrots, quails etc, when he used to graze cattle at village during childhood, he loved birds very much and even he put some piece of bread to birds as per old rituals after he finished his food. Now when he enters in old age time, he can’t understand where those beautiful birds have gone, but changed situation compelled him to ask everybody this question  being a illiterate person.
One day he asked from village teacher who is also associated with environment mission, he explains many reasons that quantity of birds has drastically fallen. This all happens because of  human mistake and  carelessness . The old Juman listens keenly. The teacher goes on telling that deforestation, polluted water flowing into canals, nallas, drunken by these innocent birds for quenching thrust. Radiation of mobile towers, shrinking of clean water bodies are also proving bad for dying birds. So efforts be made to give a new life to them by putting hands together. At once Juman jumped up with joy and said, again he would love to see the birds in large numbers like past. He also appeals to concerned agencies to think on this serious issue to save dying birds.
The main actors who took part were Rampaul Dogra a prominent social activist, Naveen pal, Santosh Basotra, Ajay Kumar, Lucky and others. The audience on spot appreciated the act.
