JAMMU, July 4: Lalded Women Welfare Society (LWWS) staged Nukkad play “Adalat Ke Chakkar” at Shastri Nagar in its Saturday series, which was conceived and written by Rampaul and directed by Naveen Pal, today.
In the story “Paali” is a farmer and fighting his false court case since ten years which was slapped against him by some influential people of village. One day “Paali” was ploughing his field early in the morning and he was attacked by some anti social elements in a bid to capture his land and when he cried loudly they all fled away leaving a warning to teach him a lesson.
They filed a complaint against “Paali” in the police which further made a court case against him. “Paali” requested in front of police authorities that he is innocent and be spared but he was not listened to. When trapped into false court case “Paali” hired a lawyer to fight his case in the court but it prolonged for ten years.
“Paali” sold his land at cheaper rates to pay lawyer’s fee to get speedy justice but that never happened. He was running from pillar to post for early settlement of case but got worried because of slow functioning of judicial system.
Actually his lawyer was too hand to glove with his opposite party to make constant money. Therefore after analyzing the situation “Paali” directly contacted the other party and requested to come on negotiating table for direct solution of the matter. They both insisted their lawyer to prepare a joint agreement for closure of the case which they admitted and got it endorsed by from the court. Both the parties were happy for sorting out the case outside court. In this way “Paali” thought and understood the all tricks of lawyers.
In conclusion we should settle our small disputes at our own levels to avoid heavy court fee and time. Those who acted were Rampaul (social activist, career councilor, coordinator to LWWS), Naveen Pal (Actor, Director) Santosh Basotra, Anju Sanotra, Sonu etc. Audience appreciated the act.
