Srinagar, Oct 22: Police today arrested seven gamblers in Srinagar and recovered Rs 66,000 from them.
Police said that acting on a specific information, Police Sub Division Khanyar headed by SDPO Khanyar along with SHOs of Police Stations Nowhatta, Khanyar and Rainawari raided a gambling site at Kaka Mohalla Nowhatta.
Nine gamblers were arrested and stake money of Rs 66000 was recovered from the gambling site. Srinagar police registered a case under FIR number 111/2016 under Section 13 Gambling Act and investigation was taken up.
