DODA, Aug 19: The historical Machail Paddar Yatra today commenced from its base camp temple of Chandi Mata at village Chanote in Bhaderwah.
The yatra will culminate on August 27 and more than 5000 pilgrims are undertaking the yatra.
Devotees from various parts of the state as well as from other parts of country assembled in the premises of the temple from where the holy yatra commenced for Machail Padder in Kishtwar district with chanting of Bhajans & religious sermons in a cavalcade of buses, matadors, sumos & cars.
Local administration headed by ASP Bhaderwah Suneel Sharma, SDPO Bhaderwah, Naib Tehsildar Bhaderwah and others accorded warm send off to the pilgrims. The yatra will cover 175 kms of hilly track to reach holy shrine of Goddess chandi in Machail Padder on 23th August 2014.
