KISHTWAR, Aug 22: The revered Chhari of annual Machail Mata Yatra accompanied by the sacred Akhand Jyot, here today reached Chandi Mata Temple in Machail.
In the picturesque surroundings of Chandi Mata Temple, the arrival of Pavitar Chhari and Akhand Jyot was accorded warm welcome.
Locals and administration jointly facilitated the pilgrimage by performing religious rituals.
Tomorrow, the Yatra will continue its onward journey with Havan and other rituals.
The annual Kud celebration is also set to take place at the Bhawan with rhythmic beats of drums, soothing melody of the flute and the graceful display of traditional dance.
As the Machail Mata Yatra continues to unfold its spiritual magnificence, the numbers of devotees continue to rise and over 1.30 lakh pilgrims visited the shrine this year to pay obeisance and seek blessings of the Goddess.
