Madan asks Govt to grant State Subject to West Pak Refugees

JAMMU, July 31: Maintaining that the State Government on its own can resolve certain issues like issuance of State Subject to West Pak Refugees and allotment of land and others as per scale, the Member of Parliament from Jammu-Poonch constituency Madan Lal Sharma has said that Omar led Govt should immediately order the same to give some relief to the refugees and recommend a detailed one time settlement proposal to Government of India.
UPA Government will grant the approval as Congress always advocated for settlement of affairs of refugees by restoring all their rights with dignity, he added.
The MP was addressing a public meeting at Seri Panditan in Raipur Domana constituency after laying foundation stone of community facilitation centre which will be constructed under MP LAD scheme.
He said that Govt of India is actively considering the settlement issue of refugees and has put their people on work. The recently conducted meeting of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs regarding issues of refugees which comprises MPs from all political parties is a step towards its resolution, he added.
On the occasion, the MP also issued directions to the sectoral officers accompanying him to immediately resolve the issues raised by local panchayats and general public Pertaining to health, education, drinking water, electricity and development.
Other prominent present on the occasion include Sarpanch Shree Kerni, Kuldeep Raj, Milkhi Ram, Raj Dev Singh, Sat Paul Khajuria, Sat Paul Sharma, Ved Parkash, Ram Pal, Sikander, Raman, Dayal Singh, Bodh Raj and sectoral officers.
