R.S Pura, Mar 2 : Member Parliament Jammu Poonch Constituency Madan Lal Sharma has called upon Jammuites to unite on Congress platform for watching the interest of the Jammu region.
He cautioned people to beware of the divisive people on the name of religion or region for their vested interest. He said that Congress is the only Party which can safeguard the interest of people of Jammu and Pir Panchal region while being in power and the same is proved in the recent formation of Administrative units & 73rd Amendment.
Mr Sharma also appreciated the role of coalition Government in the State headed by Omar Abdullah and UPA Government headed by Dr. Manmohan Singh at the Centre. He said that on the instructions of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi, Centre had opened the flood gates of treasure for strengthening and supporting various infrastructural projects and poverty elevation schemes which have developed a confident among the marginalized community who were earlier un heard .
Mr Sharma said that Congress and National Conference will unitedly win all the Parliamentary seats in the Jammu & Kashmir State and Congress will win Jammu Poonch seat with a big margin. He also highlighted the works done by him as MP for the last 10 years and said that he accommodated all communities and areas of his constituency without any distinction of caste, creed & colour. He also said that the continuous efforts of Congress and their follow-up had made Jammu Railway Division reality and the same will expedite the early resumption of work on Rajouri, Poonch Railway project and linking other un-connected areas of region with rest of the Country. He also said that the issues of refugees and border people were strongly pleaded by them in the Parliament and he will not remain silent till the same are resolved.
