NEW DELHI, Dec 13:
Lauding UPA Government for implanting the cash subsidy transfer scheme in 51 districts of 15 States from January 1, Member Parliament Madan Lal Sharma has demanded extension of the same to all districts of Jammu & Kashmir.
In a press statement, Mr Sharma said that the proposed scheme will end miseries of the people in areas of Rajouri, Poonch and border belts of Samba where consumers feel it difficult to get the subsidized LPG cylinders. He demanded that the Government should follow the same pattern in distribution of kerosene, fertilizers and BPL ration to end the role of middlemen.
The MP also suggested that `Aadhaar’ should not be made the criteria for launching the scheme, particularly in hilly, border and conflict areas of J&K.
He asked the State Government to direct CAPD and district administrations to ensure that all LPG consumers get a bank account so that they may not face any difficulty during launch of the scheme in Jammu Kashmir.
