JAMMU, Mar 12: With the invention of two vaccines in India to fight the Corona virus and save the precious lives of the people, the concept of Made in India, as put forth by Prime Minister has achieved success beyond any doubt. It has also strengthened the belief of over 130 crore Indians that their country has best scientists with capability of bringing out world class medicines and vaccines.
In a statement, Jammu and Kashmir, BJP, spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, said that the appeal of PM Narendra Modi to promote locally manufactured products under ‘Made in India’ concept has achieved success not only in Health sector but the Defence Sector too is now producing modern and world class fighter aircrafts, tanks, guns, guided missiles, cruise and ballistic missiles etc.
The invention of two much needed vaccines within the country indicates that India has scientists, doctors, who are fully competent in their respective fields and are in no way less than the scientists of developed countries. Their talent could not be utilized due to lack of encouragement to explore what abilities, capabilities and qualities they possess, Balbir said, adding that the Narendra Modi Government not only stood behind them for encouragement but provided required infrastructure also.
Balbir further said that while the two vaccines are totally local products, they are the cheapest in the world, which is also a matter of pride for the nation and Indian scientists. The Spokesperson said that the ‘Vaccine Maitri’ programme of India has not only enhanced its soft power but also enhanced its image as a Global leader in fighting the pandemic. Sixty five nations of the world spanning across all continents have benefitted from the Indian vaccines. India’s outreach has been lauded by US as well as the WHO Chairman. As a humanitarian gesture India is also sending vaccine to Pakistan, he added.
