JAMMU, Oct 1: BJP national general secretary, Ram Madhav is reaching here tomorrow morning to take stock of political situation in J&K and also participate in various party programmes during the day.
Madhav according to party sources will hold a meeting with BJP office bearers at Party Headquarters in the evening before returning to Union Capital.
He will discuss the strategy for the Block Development Council (BDC) elections with senior party leaders and take stock of the prevailing political situation in the two regions in the aftermath of abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A. The issue of organizational elections and membership will also be discussed by him with BJP leadership.
The senior BJP leaders from J&K including party president, Ravinder Raina, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, general secretaries, Ashok Koul, Dr Narinder Singh, Yudhvir Sethi, former Ministers, other senior leaders including Speaker, Dr Nirmal Singh, MLC, Ashok Khajuria, district presidents and others will attend the meeting.
He will flag off Gandhi Sankalap Yatra (foot march) from Janipur in the morning after addressing the BJP activists there. During the foot march Madhav will also participate in party’s Samajik Samrasta programme at Ward No. 17, New Plots.
In the afternoon the BJP leader will attend a party programme at Marh and later conduct a tour of border area in Marh Assembly segment. He will interact with border people in the area to have at and on study of their problems.
