Madhya Pradesh receives ‘State of the Year’ award

BHOPAL, Jan 14: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan received the ‘State of the Year’ Award here.

The award instituted by CNBC-TV 18, was given yesterday for achieving the “fastest growth” among all the states in the country.

On the occasion, Chouhan said that it was a big challenge to develop Madhya Pradesh as the most developed  state in the country due to its earlier BIMARU status.

“We accepted this challenge and made efforts day in and day out to develop the State in every sector,” he said.

The Chief Minister said people were also involved in the development and added that meetings of various sections of the society were held and policies and schemes were framed as per people’s aspirations. (PTI)
