JAMMU, Feb 18: Prof Lalit Magotra was elected as new convener of Dogri Advisory Board Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, after the general council of the national body of letters met at its head quarters at Rabindra Bhavan, New Delhi, today.
Prof Lalit Magotra, president of Dogri Sanstha, Jammu, by virtue of being the new convener of Dogri Advisory Board for period of 2013-2017, will also be member of the executive committee of Sahitya Akademi’s supreme body which headed by its president, comprises of conveners of other 24 national languages and nominees of the central Government.
Talking to Excelsior, Prof Lalit Magotra said that during last few years Sahitya Akademi’s activities have increased manifold and it was his endeavor to see that maximum benefits of prevailing schemes run by national academy also flow to Dogri language.
