JALGAON, Aug 25: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced on Sunday that the state government will give Rs five lakh each as an assistance to each heir of the 25 devotees who died in the Nepal bus accident.
He announced an aid of Rs five lakh each to the heirs of the deceased during the of Lakhpati Didi function held in city, in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
A group of 90 devotees from Varangaon, Talvel and Bhusawal talukas went to Nepal on a pilgrimage, when their bus fell in Marsyangdi river in Tanhoon district of Nepal, in which 27 people were killed including the bus driver from Gorakhpur, on Friday last.
Union Minister of State Raksha Khadse informed that the central government has provided assistance of Rs two lakh each to the heirs of those who died in this accident.
Following this, the state government also announced help to them. (UNI)
