JAMMU, June 2: Provincial president of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), Rattan Lal Gupta has impressed upon the people to question the BJP leaders and workers when they come to their door steps under the much hyped ‘Maha Jan Samparak Abhiyan’ as to what is there to celebrate the nine years of BJP’s governance that has brought to the people nothing but a hell of miseries.
He asserted that celebration of failures calling these achievements by the BJP Govt is indeed unprecedented mockery of the saffron party.
In a statement issued to media here today, the senior NC leader said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been the worst victims of the BJP’s misrule that has resulted out of its anti-people policies thrust upon the people of this Union Territory.
Gupta said that the Union Territory Administration which is running the proxy government of BJP has utterly failed to resolve the power scenario here during its nine years of governance at the Centre. The power situation has gone from bad to worse during these years. He said the main reason for this is the use of sub-standard material including the below standard electric transformers and electric wires which proves the level of corruption existing during 09 years of BJP rule.
He advised people to must ask BJP that why the Modi Govt has failed to resolve the poor power scenario in Jammu region.
The senior NC leader said that even the drinking water and irrigation scenario is no good too. The water crisis has further aggravated during the nine years of BJP rule which is evident from the fact that apart from Kandi belts of Samba, Jammu and Kathua district even the capital city i.e. Jammu continues to face dry situation with people craving for regular drinking water supply. He said that the farmers are also suffering on account of erratic power and water supply with their crops at stake.
He suggested people to raise a question before the BJP leader that why not scarcity of drinking water was addressed in nine years of rule of Modi Govt at the Centre.
Rattan Lal Gupta also castigated the Govt for the poor scenario in health sector saying that no doctors are available in most of the Primary Health Centres (PHCs) across the Jammu Province so much so that even the paramedics are not available in some of the PHCs.
