JAMMU, Dec 21: The 123rd Mahajayanti of mystic saint Swami Nand Bab Sahib was celebrated as ‘Nand Sarkaar Divas’ here, today.
In this connection a function was held at Ashram Swami Nand Bab Sahib ,Lale Da Bagh, Jammu under the chairmanship of its president Avtar Krishan Bhat.
A Mahayagya was also performed on the occasion for world peace and prosperity.
Large number of devotees from different walks of life took part in the celebration to receive blessings of the revered saint.
The function among others was attended by Swami Kumar of Geeta Satsang Ashram, Dr Susheel Wattal, Ashutosh and Santosh Nadaan.
Guru bhajans were performed by budding artists Suhas Koul, Shruti Raina, Nirmit Raina, Srushti Raina who were honoured by the Ashram Trust.
The devotees were served Prashad after Puran Ahuti on the occasion.
The Ashram Trust also honoured M K Raina a devotee of the Ashram with Nand Bab Samman.
The programme was coordinated by Vikram Koul Publicity secretary of the Ashram.
In the evening Ramesh Koul was elected as Cashier cum Accountant and Vikas Bhat as general secretary of the Ashram and the recently elected Executive Committee took oath in the name of Swami Nand Bab Sahib which was followed by Deep Prajlan and Bhajan Kirtan.
Meanwhile, president Gosani Gund Ashram, Dr R L Bhat in a handout today said that on the occasion of Mahakali Jayanti on December 19 birthday of Swami Atma Ram Ji of Gosani Gund Ashram Anantnag was not celebrated at Geeta Satsang Ashram Muthi. The Swami Atma Ram Ji whose birthday was actually celebrated in the Ashram was a disciple of Swami Kumar Ji and not the great saint Swami Atma Ram Ji of Gosani Gund.
