JAMMU, Oct 24: A Mahayaga was performed on the occasion of Dussera at Lakshmi Narayan temple Laxmi Puram Muthi today.
A large number of devotees took part in the religious function which started yesterday evening and concluded with puranahuti this afternoon.
The hawan was performed under the supervision of Jyotshi Avtar Krishan Shastri and the devotees drawn from various localities participated in it.
The devotees were served with prashad after puranahuti. Earlier religious discourses were held in the temple premises and scholars threw light on the significance of Dussera festival which falls after the nine day long Navratra festival.
