JAMMU, Dec 1: Sri Guru Gobind Singh was savior of Humanity and the Heritage of India said S Ramneek Singh Bijral, Member DGPC, Jammu, while addressing a joint press conference of DGPC Members Jammu and various other Sikh organizations of the State and listed out the forthcoming programme being held in connection 350th Parkash Utsav all over the world.
He said that a Mahaan Gurmat Samagam is being held on 3rd of December, 2016 in the premises of M B S College of Engineering and Technology, Jeevan Nagar, Babliana, Jammu under the patronage of Mahant Manjeet Singh Ji with Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee.
He appealed to one and all belonging to every faith to attend the program in which a special light and sound show was also being organized.
S Fateh Singh, Member DGPC, S Darbinder Singh and S Raja Singh, Member DGPC while addressing said that the sacrifices of the whole family of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji are a source of inspiration for those who always stand up against tyranny of the oppressor against the oppressed. Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji laid down his life to create a society where the voice of the poor, down trodden and the oppressed echoes in the universe like a thunder challenging the might of the oppressor of those times. He appealed to everyone to participate in this Gurumat Samagam to commemorate Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s 350th Parkash Utsav.
S Mohinder Singh, Chief Organizer Bhai Kanhiya Nishkam Society J&K, appealed Sikh Community in particular and others in general to bring their children in the Samagam so that they be able to know more about the teachings of the Sikh Gurus.
S Gajan Singh, general secretary Sikh Welfare Society J&K, also said that the Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch has always taken a lead in holdings religious functions and this Gurumat Samagam is another effort in this direction.
