JAMMU, Nov 24: A noted contractor of the State, T R Gupta who is also called as Mahajan Rattan by his community members was among several other leading members of the community who were presented the Gold medals for their valuable services to the community at one day Working Committee meeting of Akhil Bhartiya Mahajan Shiromani Sabha (ABMSS) held at Garden Estates Trikuta Nagar near here today.
The Working Committee meting was jointly organized by Mahajan Sabha Trikuta Nagar, Mahajan Sabha Gandhi Nagar and Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat. Besides, the Working Committee members of ABMSS, Jammu region members of Mahajan community along with their families participated in it.
Others who were presented Gold medals on the occasion included Yash Paul Gupta and Bal Krishan Gupta.
Besides Mahajan Gaurav award was also presented to Jugal Mahajan, patron ABMSS, Anil Gupta State president JKDF, S P Langer patron ABMSS, Harinder Gupta, leading industrialist, Vijay Kumar Gupta, leading businessman, Vijay Gupta, chairman Trikuta Nagar Development Council and Raman Gupta, ex Chairman Municipal Committee Bari Brahmana. They all were special gusts on the occasion.
In addition to it Prof Chaman Lal Gupta former Union Minister of State and MLA Jammu West Assembly Segment, Kailash Langer general secretary ABMSS, Rajinder Motial , vice chairman, Mahajan Bhawan Haridwar and Mahesh Gupta zonal president J&K Zone ABMSS were also honoured on the occasion.
B D Gupta, Narinder Gupta, Tarseem Gupta, Jagdish Gupta, Ashok Kumar Gupta presidents of various Mahajan Committees and Naresh Gupta chairman Reception Committee earlier welcomed the dignitaries in the first session which was followed by an impressive cultural programme by Sonu Musical group.
The audience was enthralled by the Krishan Sudama Jankhi and Sai Baba Jankhi presented on the occasion.
The welcome address was presented by Jugal Mahajan chief patron Mahajan Sabha Gandhi Nagar while the vote of thanks was presented by Bal Krishan Gupta chairman Mahajan Sabha Trikuta Nagar.
Speaking on the occasion Anil Gupta appreciated the working of the Mahajan Sabhas of Trikuta Nagar, Gandhi Nagar and Channi Himmat and leaders of ABMSS. S P Langer also spoke on the occasion.
In the second session Kailash Langer presented the minutes of the previous meeting which were approved by the House. This was followed by a threadbare discussion on various issues.
