JAMMU, June 28: Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha today started langer for pilgrims going to Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra.
The langer was inaugurated by Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), along with Romesh Chander Gupta (president of Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha) Yash Paul Gupta and Shiv Partap Gupta.
Amid slogans of ‘Bum Bum Bhole’ by the Sadhus and other pilgrims, the Langer was organized under the overall supervision of Sanjay Mahajan (general secretary of the Sabha). Balbir Gupta and Yash Paul Gupta are the incharges of the Langer, which will continue till the culmination of the Yatra on 11th of August.
Other prominent persons of the Mahajan community present on the occasion were Harinder Gupta, Arun Gupta (president CCI Jammu), Atul Gupta, Surinder Gupta, Prabh Dayal Gupta, C P Gupta, Mukesh Mahajan, Dr Mohan Lal Gupta, Ramesh Gupta, Vijay Gupta, Satish Gupta and Darshan.
Earlier, the Mahajan Sabha placed the main hall of the Mahajan Bhawan at Shalamar Road, Jammu at the disposal of the Government for registration of the Yatris.
During the registration period, the pilgrims who were more than 500 were served with breakfast and lunch till they proceeded to Yatri Niwas where from they would further proceed on pilgrimage as per the arrangements to be made by the Government.
