Mahavir Mandir Trust releases Rs 355.54 crore budget for fiscal 2024-25

PATNA, Apr 8 : On the eve of Chaiti Navratra beginning on Tuesday, Mahavir Mandir Trust released an annual budget of Rs 355.54 crore for the financial year 2024-25 on Monday, incorporating income and expenditure against various welfare projects during this period.

Secretary of Mahavir Mandir Trust Patna, Kishore Kunal told media persons here that main source of income of the trust was donations received from devotees, which was being spent for various welfare projects. Various hospitals were being run by the trust catering to the needs of patients of Bihar and other neighbouring states, he added.

“The proposed budget of the trust for the financial year 2024-25 is Rs 355.54 crores “, the Secretary said adding that 172.01 crore would be spent for Mahavir Cancer Centre Patna, where a large number of patients were being treated every year. Similarly, Rs 28.44 crore would be spent for the paediatric hospitals being run by the trust, he further added.

” A new hospital for senior citizens with an initial investment of Rs 1 crore would be opened in Patna while another hospital with the same amount of investment would be opened in Ayodhya for Saints “, Kunal informed.

” Two golden crowns of nearly Rs 12.25 lakhs have been prepared for two idols of Lord Hanuman, which would be installed during Srinagar on Tuesday”.

The Secretary of the trust added that meals would be provided to the poor twice a day from Tuesday. Special arrangements for the comfort of devotees would be made during Navratri and also on auspicious occasion of Ramnavmi, he added.( UNI)
