JAMMU, May 11: A meeting of Mahila Congress workers was held here today at Sainik Colony, which was presided over by MLA Indu Pawar.
Addressing the workers, Pawar impressed upon the workers to unite and gear up for upcoming local body elections. She asked the women workers to actively participate in the elections and act a bridge between the people and the Government.
She apprised them of various schemes launched by the State and Central Government for the upliftment of the women folk.
She emphasized the importance of their representation in the local body for upliftment of the society.
