Mahila Mandal provides food to 200 needy families daily

JAMMU, Apr 29: Jain Nagar Mahila Mandal, Talab Tillo inspired by the pious teachings of Lord Mahavira and works of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi took up an initiative to fight challenges facing humanity. Every day since March 30 they are cooking food at their home kitchen to serve needy and on daily basis 200 food packets are being distributed by them.
To look after weaker sections of the society, former State president BJP and Ex MLA Jammu, West Sat Sharma (CA) initiated to serve at the home kitchen and distributed packets where food was prepared by the Jain Mahila Mandal to spread the message of kindness and helping poor. Corporator Ward 32, Sat Pal Karlupia, president Jain Mohalla Giat Jain were also present.
Pertinent to mention, the Jain Samaj has also contributed an amount of Rs 1.11 lakh towards PM CARES FUND.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma who is linked with the works of Jain community appreciated the efforts of Jain Mahila Mandal and said that during these difficult times, all citizens and organizations must come forward and help the needy people. He also appreciated the Jain Nagar Mahila Mandal, who started the ‘Food for Needy’ since lockdown began and it will continue till May 3, he added. He also stated that time to time financial aid and ration kits was also provided by them to serve country and society in these tough times.
Sunanda Jain (president), Chhaya Jain (general secretary), Suman Jain (cashier), along with her team complimented former MLA Jammu West who served with them in the noble cause.
District general secretary, Rajesh Gupta, Rahul Mehra, Suman Jain, Raman Jain, Narinder Jain, Ravi Jain, Bhushan Jain and several others were also present.
