SRINAGAR, Dec 19: Mahindra First Choice today said it is planning to increase the number of its outlets in the country to 500 by March, 2015, including 10 in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The company is planning to raise the number of its outlets in the country to 500 by March, 2015. This includes 10 outlets in Jammu and Kashmir in the next one and a half-year,” Mahindra First Choice President (Group HR, Corporate Services & After market) Rajeev Dubey told reporters here.
The company, which is the used-car retail arm of Mahindra & Mahindra, at present has 214 outlets across 115 cities, which would be increased to 260 by March next year, he said.
Dubey said the time period for which a person retains a particular car model is declining as newer models are coming out in the market and the demand for used cars is also increasing.
He said Jammu and Kashmir is a very important market with as many as 2,500 used cars being sold every month.
“We are here to tap this market. We already have an outlet in Srinagar and next month we will open an outlet in Anantnag. We are planning to add more outlets on demand basis and are planning to open 10 outlets here in the coming 18 months,” he added.
Dubey said, as part of the company’s robust certification process, every car is refurbished and undergoes an extensive 118-point quality check by a trained engineer, the objective of which is to present the customer with a car in a good condition.
He also said the company has recently launched two new warranty products named ‘Warrantyfirst and Certifirst’ to give complete peace of mind to the buyer.
