Main accused in daily wager’s killing case identified, two on run

JAMMU, Oct 27: The main accused involved in the killing of a daily wager posted at Irrigation and Flood Control Department’s Store, Beli Charana has been identified by the police. However, manhunt is going on to nab his two other associates, who were also involved in the case.
As per police sources, a daily wager chowkidar posted in the Irrigation and Flood Control Department’s Store at Beli Charana namely Daleep Kumar, son of Mohan Lal of Dool, Kishtwar, at present Jammu was assaulted by Narbeer Singh, son of Jagjit Singh of Beli Charana, his brother Amarjeet Singh and Vikas, son of Maharaj Krishan of Muthi over some altercation when he was performing his duty during night on October 19.
The victim was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
Working over the case, police teams from Gandhi Nagar police station and Nehru Market police post on specific information conducted a raid at a hideout, but the three miscreants involved in the case escaped from the spot.
However, the main accused Narbeer Singh got injured in an accident at District Kathua, when the police was chasing him. He was shifted to GMCH, where he was undergoing treatment, when reports last came in.
The main accused changed his identification by cutting the hair and beard, but police identified him. After getting discharged from the hospital, police will arrest the accused.
However, Amardeep Singh and Vikas are still absconding and manhunt is going on to nab them.
In this regard a case already stands registered with Gandhi Nagar police station and further investigation into the case is going on.
The case was worked out by SHO Gandhi Nagar police station Paramjeet Singh and Incharge Nehru Market police post SI Khayati Maan Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Gandhi Nagar Harjeet Singh, SP South Rahul Malik and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
It is to mention that, the family members of the deceased and their relatives held protest yesterday demanding immediate arrest of the accused.
