Main accused in arms recovery case booked under PSA

JAMMU, July 29: The main accused arrested by Sarwal Police in arms recovery case has been booked under stringent Public Safety Act (PSA).
As per police sources, around one month back on specific information a team from Police Post Sarwal conducted raid and recovered 3 pistols including two country made and seven live rounds from drinking water releasing point near Government Quarters Subash Nagar.
After the recovery of pistols and live rounds, a case under relevant sections was registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, three persons were arrested initially and the main accused identified as Rishab Bhat, a resident of Sarwal was nabbed on July 14 this year.
The order of detention under Public Safety Act (PSA) was issued against Rishab Bhat and the warrant was executed by Sarwal Police. He has been lodged in central jail at Kot Bhalwal District Jammu.
The warrant was executed by Incharge Police Post Sarwal SI Manohar Lal under the supervision of SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Harjeet Singh and SDPO West Rahul Nagar.
However, further investigation into the case is also going on.
