JAMMU, Aug 7: Range Police Headquarters organized a meeting on communal harmony and brotherhood in which prominent citizens from all the communities participated.
Addressing the meeting Shakeel Ahmed Beig, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range said that people of Jammu are peace loving but sometimes few anti-social elements try to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the Jammu region but it is heartening to see that people of Jammu have always been successful in diffusing such malicious attempts and thus Jammunites deserve appreciation for this.
He said that time has come when the people of Jammu do not fall prey to rumours. They must maintain communal harmony and brotherhood as this is the key for the development of our country, he added.
He further said that our country is like a hand and various religions are like fingers and if all the religions stands united no force in this world can harm our country.
Former president Chamber of Commerce and Industries YV Sharma, Vice President J&K Mini Bus Services Anil Chopra, President Shia Federation Ashiq Hussain, Avtar Singh Khalsa, Ranjit Singh and Kasturi Lal also spoken on the occasion.
DIG Jammu was accompanied by Rahul Malik, SP City South, Randhir Singh SP Headquarters, Ambarkar Shriram Dinkar, SDPO West, Parshotam Sharma, Deputy Director Prosecution, Range Police Headquarters, Parbheet Singh SDPO City North and others.
