Maintaining communal harmony

Sir,
Jammu had all along remained free of communal tension and had kept nourishing secularism in letter. It is a land of temples and this holy land did everything to demolish the walls between man and man. This holy land has accommodated all the immigrants of whatever faith they belong to. We find violent eruptions in the name of religion in and outside the State but Jammuites have never flared up communal fanaticism. Jammu is now largely extended and new colonies have come up. There are some anti-national forces who are hell bent upon to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of Jammu too. When talk of settlement of KPs is taken up there are some forces in the valley of Kashmir who raise hue and cry. In contrast to this fact, some communal forces in the State of Jammu and  Kashmir are trying hard to change the demography of Jammu too so that radicalisation takes place here too. There seems no action from the State Government in deporting Rohingyas and also Bangladeshis who stand illegally settled in and around Jammu. To nip the evil in the bud, it is high time that the right thinking people come forward and see that the extremists do not get patronage from any quarter. Unless the people are open minded and do not make an issue, a matter of communal prestige, the scourge of communal hatred and ill will cannot be rooted out from the minds of the people. Hence we must wake up to the occasion so that Jammuites live in peace as they lived earlier.
Yours etc..
S N Raina
