Maintaining sanctity of Army uniform

Sir,
I write with deep concern about recent changes to the Indian Army’s uniform, which have compromised its sanctity and raised alarming security risks. The decision to shift from ordnance factory-designed army logo combat uniforms to privately designed ones raises significant questions regarding quality and security.
Recent incidents, including the discovery of army uniforms in the possession of unauthorized individuals, highlight the urgent need for a reevaluation of this decision. The potential misuse of these uniforms, as witnessed in past events like the Chittisinghpura massacre, is a grave concern that cannot be ignored.
While cost-effectiveness is crucial, compromising on uniform quality poses a serious threat to the security and integrity of the nation. The distinct identity of army uniforms should be preserved, as it plays a crucial role in differentiating our armed forces from paramilitary forces.
I implore the relevant authorities to reconsider this decision and ensure the sanctity of the army uniform is upheld, maintaining the pride and prestige of our armed forces.
