Maize falls on increased supplies

NEW DELHI, Oct 5:  Maize prices fell by Rs 20 per quintal on the wholesale grains market today on increased supplies against reduced offtake.
However, other grains moved in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said increased supplies against reduced offtake kept pressure on maize prices.
In the national capital, maize fell by Rs 20 to Rs 1,370-1,375 per quintal.

Wheat MP (deshi) 2,070-2,270, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,595-1,600, Chakki atta (delivery) 1,610-1,615 Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 220, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 220, Roller flour mill 850-890 (50 kg), Maida 940-960 (50 kg) and Sooji 1,010-1,040 (50kg).
Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 10,400, Shri Lal Mahal 10,000, Super Basmati Rice, 9,500, Basmati common new 7,950-8,050, Rice Pusa-(1121) new 7,850-8,050, Permal raw 2,225-2,275, Permal wand 2,300-2,400, Sela 3,300-3,350 and Rice IR-8- 1,900-1,925, Bajra 1,180-1,190, Jowar yellow 1,500-1,550, white 2,400-2,600, Maize 1,370-1,375, Barley 1,130-1,135, Rajasthan 1,080-1,090.
