NEW DELHI, Sept 21: Maize prices rose by Rs 20 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market today on the fresh buying by stockists against restricted supplies from the producing regions.
However, other grains moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said that the increased buying by stockists against the restricted supplies from producing regions mainly led to rise in maize prices.
