Srinagar, Jan 2: Major General G S Rawat today took over as General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Baramulla based 19-Infantry Division of Army that looks after Line of Con-trol (LoC).
Major General Rawat took over the command of the Division from Major General R K Kalita who completed his tenure as GOC 19 Division. Maj Gen Rawat has served as Commanding Officer of 7-Dogras at Aman Setu when the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service was started in 2005. He was Brigade Commander of Rampur (Uri) based 161 Brigade in 2013.
