JAMMU, July 15: Abdul Majid Khan , president All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) has urged the J&K UT Government to release 11 percent DA installment for the employees and pensioners of J&K Government.
While commenting on the release of the DA installment by the Central Government for its employees he said the decision be also implemented by UT Government for its employees and pensioners at the earliest. He also said that though these installments of DA do not fully protect the pay/ pension from erosion due to steep rise in prices like fuel and other consumer goods and the cost of living index is rising, but certainly these DA installments may provide some relief to the salaried class.
The Federation president also urged the Government for enhancement of monthly Medical Allowance of employees and pensioners from a meager rate of Rs 300 per month to Rs 1000 as medicare expenses are rising high and high day by day.
