RAMBAN, Aug 2: Batote, Chanderkote, Ramban, Ramsoo and Banihal Police foiled major bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 172 cattle.
As per police sources, teams from Police Stations Batote, Chanderkote, Ramban, Ramsoo and Banihal laid checking points in their respective jurisdictions and intercepted 14 Kashmir bound vehicles.
During checking, police teams rescued 172 bovine animals and seized all the vehicles.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Police Stations Batote, Chanderkote, Ramban, Ramsoo and Banihal and investigation started.
