REASI, June 15: A major fire has broken out in Battal Gala forest area near Jyotipuram in Reasi district.

The blazes have engulfed more forest area even as teams of officials from the Forest Department, Forest Protection Force and the Police were pressed into service for dousing the flames and control the fire from spreading towards other compartments and nearby villages
According to DFO Reasi, all out efforts were being made to control the blazes, said DFO Reasi.
