RAMBAN, June 2: A major fire tragedy was averted by army personnel here.
As per official spokesman, a major fire broke out at electric transformer workshop in Dharmund area of Batote.
Army personnel from nearby camp immediately rushed for assistance and doused the fire using their fire extinguishers and fire beaters.
Quick response by the Army at Dharmund controlled the fire and its spread to neighbhouring houses after two hours of efforts. Army personnel entered the workshop in the blazing fire and got everyone to safety with no injury to any villager.
In spite of inclement weather, the troops worked relentlessly and saved precious human lives and property, the spokesman added.
