Sir,
The dreaded and harmful crackers season has come again. We, the sensible and responsible citizens, not only of a city, state or nation but of the ‘Global Family’ should volunteer ourselves and pledge to make this season totally crackers free, noise free, smoke free, pollution free and further more incident free, gamble free, drugs and alcohol free. We should renounce the undesirable and unhealthy practices which are in no way an integral part of the festivals and religious rituals. Instead, these are injurious not only to one or two individuals or families but society as a whole. These substances generally bring misfortune distress and chronic diseases.
In fact, we are fully aware of the inexplicable pain and suffering that spring out of the unobligatory acts. Many times such type of celebrations create awful disasters. Irreperable loss is caused to the human life and property by the man himself. The man made disasters of such nature could be and should be controlled and voluntarily stopped by avoiding use of these terrible and hazardous objects.
The students from school to university levels are very often seen organizing rallies, debates, symposiums, walk and runs and various other events without caring for scorching sun and biting cold to aware the civil society about the ill effects and disadvantages of the menace which always confronts us. The students’ noble message and relentless endeavours must be accepted and honoured by heart by one and all. So that the sacred festivals may bring us joy and blessing instead of tears, screams and agony.
Yours etc…
