JAMMU, Oct 15: Stating that Mehbooba led PDP-BJP Government has miserably failed to control unrest in the Valley, Shiv Sena (Bala Sahib Thackery) today said that Government should make Jammu a separate State to save the Jammuites from the clutches of Kashmiri leadership.
While addressing a press conference at party headquarters at Indira Chowk, State chairman of Shiv Sena (Bala Sahib Thackery), Rakesh Gupta and president, Dimpy Kohli, said that due to Valley’s unrest, business in Jammu has suffered a lot.
Gupta said that his party has raised this issue so many times but Central Government has not taken care of their demand regarding imposition of Governor rule in the State. He said that Shiv Sena Central leadership is very concerned about the present situation of the State and wanted peace to prevail in the State.
Dimpy said that after the death of so many people including Jawans of security forces Mehbooba Government must step down morally. He said people are demanding Union Territory status for their homeland and Government must make Jammu a separate State.
