Make report of Interlocutors public: NC Minority cell

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, May 14: A meeting of National Conference Minority Cell members  was held under the chairmanship of S Harmohinder Singh, unit president and district vice president, Srinagar.
In the meeting a consensus was reached amongst the party workers who vociferously demanded that the report of three interlocutors be made public at the earliest without delay for ascertaining the ground situation and the reasons behind turmoil and consequently eruption of armed insurgency in the mid of year 1989.
It was further stated that after meeting with cross section of people in the three provinces, the three interlocutors held parleys with State intellegencia, civil societies, Government machinery and representatives of certain amalgams and took the cognizance of their view points and opined that the rank and file of State have enormous expectations from reports and recommendations.
NC Minority Cell has urged the Union Home Minister P Chidambaram to make the report of Interlocutors public as soon as possible so that the CBMs take place in right perspective. S Harmohinder Singh said that people of State have pinned hopes on the report which has already been submitted on 12th, October, 2011, but seven months have elapsed since then and nothing has transpired. It was feared that it may not meet the fate like that of Justice Sageer Ahmad’s round table conference at Delhi between representatives of State, which would tantamount to hoodwink the masses.
Those present on the occasion were Karan Chowdary, S Kulbir Singh, S Joginder Singh, S Harcharan Singh Tulla, Kuldeep Singh, Mrs Sheetal Dogra, Abdul Rahman Sofi, Rajinder Kumar Koul, Dr Manoj Kumar Thussu, S Jaawant Singh, S Prithipal Singh, Mrs Davinder Kour, S Mohinder Singh, Jat leader, Kulwant Singh Bhatti was also present.
