JAMMU, Mar 14: Batwal Youth Development Committee (BYDC) here today in a meeting urged upon the J&K Government to make the Women Commission functional as early as possible.
The meeting was chaired by R.L Kaith who said that the Government has taken right decision to set up the Women Commission in J&K as it would redress many women related issues.
He said that the Commission should be set up as early as possible so that the issues of women can be addressed timely.
BYDC president, Tilak Raj Bassa said that problems being confronted by the women often remain unaddressed and hence the role of Commission becomes important.
Hans Raj Loria said that the Commission for Women would help the women in distress.
Des Raj Kaith also spoke in the meeting.
