Malaysian Director to shoot movie in Kashmir

Srinagar, May 15: Impressed by Valley’s beauty, the Malaysian film industry has decided to shoot a movie in Kashmir.
The Film director as well as the producer of the movie chose the one of Valley’s most attractive destination ‘Sonamarg’ to shoot their movie titled: ‘I am not terrorist’.
Director of the movie, Arjun said Kashmir is very beautiful place. “I came here in October 2015 and at that time I decided to shoot a movie in Kashmir. I am speechless to speak about the beautification of Kashmir,” he said.
He said that he had never seen a place like Kashmir and requested his friends (Directors) to make Valley as their shooting destination so that the beautification of Kashmir would get exposed,” he said.
The Film Producer said Kashmir is one among the beautiful places in the world. “We believe that there is no other place like Kashmir in terms of its beautification, in terms of the humanity of people and in terms of the love, which people expressed towards us,” he said.
Chairman of National Film Development Corporation of Malaysia, Muhammad Khosari Abdul Talib, said that he will try his level best to shoot more and more upcoming movies in Kashmir. “I have never seen a place like Kashmir. It is one among the world’s best tourist destinations. I believe that Kashmir in the upcoming time there will be increase in shooting the movies in Kashmir,” he said.
It is worth to mention here that Muhammad Ateef who is lead actor of the movie is basically a resident of Kashmir. “I don’t know where my grandfather (Muhammad Ibrahim Shah) used to live in their childhood. My all family members passed away during my childhood and unfortunately I couldn’t get well-informed about my beloved one,” he said.
Famous bollywood actor, Gulshan Grover, Rahul Dev are playing role in the Malaysian movie. Meanwhile, a local Kashmir minor girl, Zunaira of Safa Kadal is also playing a vital role in the movie.
Director tourism, Mahmood Shah said that the Director of the movie was planning to shoot their movie in Himachal Pradesh but the tourism department of Jammu and Kashmir invited them to shoot their movie in Kashmir.
“We invited them to shoot their movie in Kashmir and they are all praising the beautification of Kashmir and hopefully, in the coming time more and more directors will choose Valley a place to shoot their movies” Shah said.
