JAMMU, June 11: The dead body of a male baby was found today from a field in Barn area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the body of a male baby of age about one day was spotted this afternoon by some villagers in a field near Masjid Mohalla in Barn village falling within the jurisdiction of police station Gharota.
He said that on getting information from villagers, police reached the spot and shifted the body to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for post mortem. “In this connection, a case under Section 318 has been registered at police station Gharota and further investigation is underway”, he added.
