JAMMU, Aug 16: A male body was found tonight in a field along the road at Chorli area of Bishnah.
According to a police spokesperson, some passersby spotted a body in a field at Chorli at about 8 pm and informed the police. A police team headed by SHO police station Bishnah, Surinder Pal Singh, immediately reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary room of Government hospital Bishnah for conducting post mortem tomorrow.
He said the deceased has been identified as Mohinder Kumar, son of Naseeb Chand, a resident of Phinder, Miran Sahib, adding he was an employee at an electronic shop in Bishnah market. He said prima facie it appears that the deceased has committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance but some suspicious could not be ruled out. His locked car was also found at some distance on the road, he added.
We have registered a case under relevant sections and started investigations, he further said.
