Malhotra asks shopkeepers to be hospitable to pilgrims

JAMMU, June 19: Chairman, Legislative Council, Amrit Malhotra today visited Vir Marg Road and interacted with the members of Vir Marg Traders Association and other shopkeepers enquiring about the preparations for ensuing Amarnathji Yatra.
The Chairman inaugurated Water Cooler in the area for facilitation of local shopkeepers and the tourists as well.
Addressing the function, Malhotra exhorted upon the business community to extend complete hospitality towards the visiting pilgrims to uphold the sanctity of state’s high traditional ethos. He also asked them to refrain from any kind of malpractices like overcharging, profiteering and  black-marketing.
Vir Marg Traders Association apprised the Chairman of their demands like supply of uninterrupted power and safe drinking water besides raising various problems being faced by them.
Malhotra assured the people that all their genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned for an early redressal.
